Ronald F. “Ron” Ware is a judge of the 14th Judicial District, Division H in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. He was elected to this position on November 11, 2008. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020. Ware received his bachelor’s degree from Prairie View University in 1976 and his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1980. Ware began his career in 1981 as an assistant district attorney in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He then joined the Calcasieu Parish Public Defender’s Office in 1986. He worked there as a staff attorney until 2000, when he was promoted to executive director. He was then elected to the district court in 2008.
