Paulette R. Irons is a judge for the Orleans Parish Civil District Court (Division M) in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. She was elected to this position on September 18, 2004. She was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020. Irons received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University and her J.D. in public interest law from Tulane University Law School. Irons began her career as a business consultant and lawyer. She started the Paulette Irons Law Firm in 1992. In November of 1994, she joined the Louisiana State Senate, where she served until her judicial election in 2004. During her time as a senator, she continued to work as a private practice lawyer part-time.
