Monique Barial is the judge for the Orleans Parish Civil District Court in Louisiana. She was elected to the court on December 6, 2014, for a six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.
Barial received a B.A. in political science from Xavier University, a J.D. degree from the Southern University Law Center, and a LL.M. in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law. Before her election to the court, Barial maintained a private law practice, the Law Office of Monique E. Barial. She also previously served as an attorney advisor for the United States Small Business Administration (S.B.A.) and as a minute clerk to Judge Christopher Bruno.
