Judge Monique B. Clement is the Division A judge of the Third Judicial District which includes Lincoln and Union Parishes. She was elected unopposed on July 16, 2021.Judge Clement graduated from Louisiana Tech University (BS 1992) and Southern University Law Center (Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude 1997).
Prior to taking office on August 5, 2021, she maintained a private practice since 1997 and was certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in the field of family law since 2002. She served as a Special Assistant District Attorney from 2016-2021 and was a partner at the Law Offices of Russell A. Woodard and Monique Babin Clement for 21 years. Judge Clement is married to Keith J. Clement.
