Michael D. Clement is a judge on the 25th Judicial District in Louisiana. He was elected to the court in 2011. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020. Clement earned a B.A. from Loyola University in 1987, going on to receive his J.D. from Loyola University Law School in 1991. After earning his law degree, Clement began a civil practice with emphasis on medical malpractice, worker’s compensation claims, long-shore and harbor workers claims, and general insurance defense claims. After 1993 he maintained a general civil practice, representing clients in cases involving divorce, custody, personal injury, contract, maritime and successions.
