Lane Pittard was born and raised in Webster Parish and grew up in Minden, Louisiana. He and his sisters were raised by Christian parents. They were taught from an early age high standards, Christian values, and the importance of an education. They were also taught right from wrong and that one should take responsibility for his actions. After graduating High School in 1975, he enrolled at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, where he studied Business Administration. It was at Northwestern where he met Adelise, his wife of 35 years .
After Lane graduated Northwestern in 1978, he worked in business. In 1988 he passed the CPA exam. The next year he was accepted into the University of Arkansas Law School in Little Rock, Ark. After graduating law school in 1992, Lane and Adelise moved to the Shreveport- Bossier area where he began his career in law. His wife Adelise became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and worked as a social worker for the Bossier Parish School system. For over 20 years, Lane has managed a private law practice.
For the past 14 years he has served as the lead prosecutor at the Bossier-Webster District Attorney’s office. He is considered one of the most successful prosecutors in the DA’s office and serves as first assistant to District Attorney Schuyler Marvin. He has also earned the universal respect of the law enforcement officers all over the district and has the reputation as one of the toughest and most effective prosecutors who has ever fought in our courtrooms. Through the years, Lane has prosecuted over 1000 cases and has a solid reputation of standing up for the victim and putting the bad guys away. The result has been a safer community for our families, but more importantly, our children.
Lane Pittard is an attorney licensed to practice in all state courts in Louisiana and Arkansas. He is also admitted to practice in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, and the US District Courts for the Western Districts of Arkansas, as well as the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
