Judi Abrusley is a judge of the 33rd Judicial District, Division A in Louisiana. She was first elected to this position in 2020. Her current term expires on December 31, 2026.

After being elected in 2007 to fill an unexpired term, Abrusley was unopposed and re- elected for two additional terms.

After an eight year stint as a teacher, Abrusley received her Juris Doctorate Degree and graduated with honors from Southern University Law Center in 1996. Degree in hand, Abrusley went home and opened a private law practice in Oakdale, LA. For over a decade, she represented a vast array of clients and worked with the less fortunate as an attorney for the Indigent Defenders Board.

Abrusley was inducted into the Southern University Law Center Judicial Wall of Fame in 2011 and the Alumni Hall of Fame of Southern University Law Center in 2012. She is also a member of the Juvenile and Family Court Judge’s Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Allen Parish Bar Association and the City Court Judge’s Association, where she held the position of President and Treasurer.

She is an Allen Action Agency Board Member, volunteers for the Allen Parish Youth and Planning Board, works with the Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s Service League, serves on the Oakdale School Based Health Committee, a member of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Oakdale Warriors Booster Club. In 2013, she was awarded the Chamber of Commerce Civic Service Award for outstanding service to the Oakdale Community. In 2017, she was named the Grand Marshal for the City of Oakdale Christmas Parade.
