John Reeves is a judge for the 7th Judicial District in Louisiana. He was elected on November 4, 2014, taking office on January 1, 2015. His term will expire at the end of 2020. Reeves received a B.A. from Louisiana Tech University in 1978 and a J.D. from Southern University Law School in 1984. Prior to his judicial election in 2014, Reeves ran the Reeves Law Office and was the city attorney for the Village of Harrisonburg. Before that, he served as an assistant district attorney for 18 years.
