Jeffery T. Oglesbee is a judge of the 21st Judicial District Court (Division G) in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. He was elected in 2013 to finish the term of Ernest Drake. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020. Oglesbee earned a B.A. in government and history from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1995. He went on to receive his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1998. Prior to his judicial election in 2013, Oglesbee practiced law for two decades, first as a law clerk for local judges of the 21st District, later as a senior attorney for the Commerce Committee in the state legislature, and most recently as part of the Sherman Mack Law Firm. He also has experience serving the City of Walker, first as a prosecutor and then as a magistrate.
