A graduate of LSU Law School, Stephens has nearly 34 years of legal experience, including almost ten years as a District Judge. Having served as a district judge in a general jurisdiction court, he is well qualified to serve on the Appellate Court.

Stephens currently serves as the incumbent Second Circuit Court of Appeal for the area that includes part of Ouachita, Morehouse and West Carroll Parishes, and includes all of Richland and Franklin Parishes. Judge Stephen office is in Monroe but travels to the Court of Appeal in Shreveport where he works with eight other judges in panels to review cases from some twenty parishes in North Louisiana.

Judge Jimbo Stephens in an Independent with a record as a constitutional conservative. He upholds the law and our freedoms. He does not legislate or advocate for political causes.

Jimbo is married to Faith Aubin Stephens and they have three children and four grandchildren. Faith and Jimbo live on their farm and continue the fifth generation of family farming.
