Hunter Green serves as the Subdistrict 1, Division B judge for the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal. He was elected to the seat in 2022, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon. J. Michael McDonald.
Prior to his election, Green sat as a judge for the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court since his election to the bench in 2014. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Louisiana State University in 1989 and then completed a J.D. at Southern University Law Center in 1994.
Before beginning his judicial career, Greene spent ten years as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 66. He first entered service as a legislator in 2005 and remained in that capacity until his election to the Family Court bench.
