As Managing Partner of Beevers & Beevers Law Firm, Shayna protected policyholders in a class action fight against insurance fraud and abuse. She protected citizens from money-minded government as part of the team that rid Jefferson of red-light cameras. Her capacity to manage everything from complex litigation to family law stems from her ability to master critical thinking, root her decisions in law and reasoning, and respect the system of justice.
Inside the courtroom, Shayna is formidable on every case. Outside, her faith and strong values are inspiring. A respected attorney, mother and wife, Shayna makes time to work tirelessly to promote the interest of her community. She is a leader in Tulane’s American Inn of Court, a national association that promotes ethics and professionalism in law. She assists first responders by volunteering to prepare their wills and trusts. Shayna promotes respect for law as a board member of the Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education, a member of the Board of Governors for the Louisiana Bar Association, and a member of the Executive Board of the Jefferson Bar Association. She also helps students transition to law on the Bridging the Gap Legal Education Committee.
Shayna is a proficient author of opinions for the Louisiana Bar Journal, a continuing education instructor to judges and attorneys, an adjunct law professor at Tulane, and an influential attorney selected by Louisiana Judicial College to teach Judges ethics. Now she’s ready to dedicate herself to public service as a candidate for judge in one of Louisiana’s busiest courts.
As a judge, her mission will be to speed access to her court, provide quick and decisive rulings, advocate for smarter processes, and show respect for the rights of each litigant. Given her distinctive legal skills and dedication to fairness above all, there’s no doubt that Shayna Beevers Morvant will bring honor and integrity to the court.
