Caswell, who has served as the St. Landry Parish School Board’s attorney for decades, defeated Scherri Guidry in the Nov. 4 primary for the Division B seat on the bench.
Caswell is a graduate of St. Edmund’s High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from LSU. He also graduated from the university’s law school, where he served as chairman of the Moot Court Board.
He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and a member of the Hearing Committee on the bar association’s disciplinary board. He also is a member and past president of the St. Landry Parish Bar Association.
