George J. Larke is a judge of the 32nd Judicial District, Division A in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. He was elected to this position on October 12, 2002, to replace Judge Edward Gaidry. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020. Larke received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1971 and his J.D. from the Louisiana State University Law School in 1975. Larke ran a private law practice for 26 years prior to his judicial election. He was also a member of the local Indigent Defenders Board. He was elected to the district court in 2002. Larke served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
