Charlotte Hughes-Foster was sworn in as 21st Judicial District Judge, Division B, in January 2016. She formerly served as Chief Felony Prosecutor for the 21st JDC.
Hughes-Foster is a graduate of Denham Springs High School, LSU and Loyola Law in New Orleans.
She is married to Dr. Larry Foster, an orthodontist, and together they have five children.
Hughes-Foster is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, 21st Judicial Bar Association, Louisiana District Attorney’s Bar Association, and National District Attorney’s Bar Association. She formerly served as a board member for the LDM and the Livingston Youth and Family Counseling organization. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs, and is a member of the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce and the NRA.
